On 5 February 2020, the 2018 ABC Young Performer of the Year, Emily Sun, performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at a free concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. The concert was delivered to raise funds for Bushfire Relief, in partnership with the Australian Red Cross.

Emily and the MSO performed Matthew Hindson’s intricate Violin Concerto, conducted by Tianyi Lu. The performance was dedicated to those affected by the devastating bushfires across Australia.
